Pictures speak a thousand words, and my bike was pretty damn talkative.
Anyone who has spent at least a day in Amsterdam knows that the only real way to see the city is on bike. It’s how the locals get to work, how the kids get to school, and how the tourists (try and) find Anne Frank’s house. Or in my case, the Cheese Museum…lol. So, my dear baby blue bike, take it away…
8 AM: World, I present to you my bike.
Check. AND WE’RE OFF.
Where else to start the day, but Dam Square. Comin atcha’
Top of the mornin’ kids
And off to school they go.
Welp, it’s been two hours. Coffee break.
But the question, is what kind of coffee shop to go to on my break?
………….Wooooooah. Friends everyyywhere.
EVERYWHERE….
ok…WHAT IS GOING ON. Is this some sort of conspiracy or something?
Look it’s the Cheese Museum! I hear they have lots of free samples…
MUST. PEDAL OFF. ALL THAT CHEESE… Hey, check out that pretty lady over there at that canal…
Excuse me ma’am, you don’t mind if I park next to you, do you?
SCORE. Ahhh what a view….
UMMM Excuse me big guy, but I got dibs on her first…
Ok fine, we can all hang out here…
After all, a sunset is always better with friends.
Suns down, lights up. And let the light show begin!
Trrriiiiippppyyyy
…And back where I started, home sweet Dam Square. Throwin’ in the lock for the night.
Until next time, bike.
And there ya’ have it, folks. Amsterdam, as told by my bike. Just wait for the stories my mo-ped has to tell…

Wow this is so guay. Dutch bikes are the best.
Awesome trip ! I would love to take my rider there!
Cheese museum???? Now I have to go back!!!
You must! Unlimited cheese samples (and a little bit of cheese knowledge, too) is definitely worth a trip back!
Wow! 🙂 loved the description and loved the pics! 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
Seriously, your photos are gorgeous! Impressed!! 😀
Love this post and the photos!
Can’t wait to go to Amsterdam!
Very cool way to present Amsterdam! Unfortunately when we were there it was too cold and wet for bikes. At least for us, it didn’t stop many of the locals.
Thanks for sharing! Those locals don’t let anything stop them and their bikes– even a blizzard! I guess that’s an excuse for you to go back to Amsterdam and revisit in Spring 😉
Totally agree… with a caveat. When we were leisurely biking/sightseeing Amsterdam attractions on a weekday, it seems that some local bikers were annoyed by our slow moving during time when they were coming from work. We learned the lesson and moved our biking activities to mid-day.
