The Photos

This is where I #wander. Here are photo highlights of my favorite sights and scenes, from city to city. From every day street musicians and local pedestrians, to the most famous tourist hotspots. Here is how #awanderingcasiedilla sees it.

VENICE

Ahhh Venice, Italy. The city of tiny canals, and big romance. Even on the cloudiest of days, the city still manages to emanate B-E-A-UTY, in every corner. Oh, and pigeons.

TRUJILLO

The minute you step into this off-the-beaten track Spanish village, you will feel as if you are among the Medieval Spanish conquistadors in the 13th century. Located in the province of Cáceres in the rural region of Extramadura, this village truly feels as if it has been untouched since the Christians invaded and captured the city from the Muslims in January of 1232. Who needs time machines these day any way?OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

MÁLAGA

Ahhhhhhh, Málaga. The city of high tides, and low stress. Where fish restaurants, or Chirringuito’s line the beach, and good looking, in-shape youths go on runs along the port. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the sights…

GRANADA

Art Art Art. And tea. and music. And sweet Moorish Architecture. This city is a photographers playground. Filled with a mix of cultures and energy, from the heavy Arabic influence that dates back to the Moorish conquest in 1238, to the artsy, hippie vibe brought by the university students. You don’t need GraNADA else.

ALHAMBRA

The Alhambra deserves its very own section. These breathtaking Islamic palaces represent the heart and soul of Granada’s rich history. The fortress was originally built in 889 BC. Way before your great great great grandparents were born…and ignored until the 11th century, when the Moors built it up and pimped it out…making it the stunningly breath-taking masterpiece that it is today.
